Mix marinade ingredients together in a large container. Add the wings and marinate, covered, for at least an hour, if not overnight.
Cooking with a cast-iron vessel in a Cru oven:
Fire up your Cru. Build up your fire then take it down to embers. Cover the oven floor with the embers until you are ready to cook.
When ready, push the hot embers to the back of the oven and place the cast-iron vessel onto the oven floor. If using a Cru 32, close the oven with the half door. If using a Cru 30, simply close the oven door and let the cast iron preheat for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain the wings. When the cast-iron has sufficiently preheated, take out of the oven and carefully put the wings in. Place back into the Cru. Cook wings, rotating every so often, until nicely caramelized and fully cooked, about 6-10 minutes. You might have to cook wings in batches.
